Race Day - May 24th, 2025 Saturday!
The race will take place on Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday, May 24th,
NOT on Memorial day.
This is race #3 of the Southeastern Trail Series. The race starts at 8:00 AM at the iron gate at the north entrance to the Belcher Tract, just off Hwy 280. There is a $5 per car parking fee. There is room for 50 cars at the parking lot near the gate. Overflow will need to park at the North Shelby Baptist Church. Turn off 280 at Belcher Rd, at the north Shelby Baptist Church.
THE RACE IS TIMED WITH “HUTAGS” THAT STRAP TO YOUR ANKLE. You will not even notice them IF YOU RUN IN SOCKS THAT ARE LONG ENOUGH TO COVER YOU ANKLE.
Directions to the Pavilion and parking lot at the north entrance tot he Belcher Tract:

Resolute Running Preview Run - Date to be announced.
Resolute Running and Alex Morrow will be hosting a preview run of the Memorial Day Weekend 6 & 12 mile course. The run will start at the parking lot at the north end of the Belcher Tract. Behing the North Shelby Baptist Church on Hwy 280. Everyone is invited but please let Alex know you plan to run by following the link to the FB event and select “Going.”

It is getting a little harder.
The third race of the 2025 Southeastern Trail Series is a little harder than the previous two races. The short race, the 6 mile, while about the same distance as the RFK 10K, has significantly more elevation gain, at 894ft. The course is also 6.76 miles in length. (That’s as close a we could get.) The 12 Mile race has 1,631 ft of elevation gain. Sections of the course follows Belcher Rd, a 6 mile long gravel road running from the top to the bottom of the mountain and passing all three lakes in the Belcher Tract. There are some spectacular views from Belcher and along the ridge line above Demopolis Lake. The lakes are beautiful!
Weekend Schedule
Friday, May 23rd - 4:30 to 5:30 PM - PACKET PICKUP and LATE REGISTRATION - Location TBD.
Saturday, May 24th - 6:45 to 7:45 AM - Packet pickup and Late Registration at the Pavilion at the north entrance to the Belcher Tract.. Follow the "Race Arrow Signs."
Saturday, May 24th - 8:00 AM - Start of the 6 and 12 Mile Races.
Place awards will be given out as runners finish the race. Awards will be given to 1, 2 & 3 overall, male and female. Age awards are Masters 40 - 49, Grand Master 50 - 59, Ultra Grand Master 60+.
The 6 mile will also have 14 and under, Male and Female awards.
