START LOCATION: The Meeting Center - Cabins on Tranquility Lake
DROPBAGS: 25K and 50K Runners may not send drop bags to any aid station. You may leave dropbags at the Cabin.
PACERS: 25K and 50K Runners may not have a pacer. Please do not ask!
50K STATS: 30.18 Miles, 5,345ft. of Elevation GAIN - 18 Hour Cutoff
25K STATS: 16.62 Miles, 2,885ft. of Elevation GAIN - 12 Hour Cutoff

Blood Rock 50K and 25K Pace Chart - tHE ONLY ENFORCED CUTOFF IS AT 6:00 am
We do not enforcer cutoff times for the 50 mile, 50K & 25K shown on the charts. The only enforced cutoff is the end of the race at 6AM Sunday.
Blood Rock 50K and 25K Crew Access
Detailed Information on All Crew Accessible Aid Stations
This link will provide Aid Station Charts for all distances and information on which aid stations are crew accessible and which allow drop-bags. It also has detailed directions to each aid station, Google Maps link to each aid station and GPS Coordinates for each. The Summit Lake and Train Station aid stations can only be reached by leaving the park. Overnight crew members can only go to either aid station through the front gate near I-65 over night. The north gate closes at 5:00 PM and does not reopen until 7:00 AM. (You must also return to the park through the south gate.) To get into the park overnight, you must have reserved lodging in the park or have the Blood Rock Crew Car Pass. Without one or both, you cannot get back into the park at night.

25K RUNNERS GO RIGHT.
ALL OTHER DISTANCES GO LEFT.
WHEN YOU SEE SIGNS ON THE COURSE, READ THEM. WE DO NOT CARRY THEM MILES UP THE MOUNTAIN FOR FUN.

PLEASE NOTE: SUNSET ON DECEMBER 7TH IS 4:39 PM.
If you expect to need 8 hours or more to finish the 50K, that’s 3:00 PM, be sure to have a flashlight or headlamp stashed at the Cabins or in your car. If you think you will need 9 hours or more, take a flashlight with you at the start.

Lodging and Camping at Blood Rock
There are 10 cabins located around Tranquility Lake at the Meeting Center, the Blood Rock Start. The course passes by all cabins. They are available to Blood Rock Runners to reserve for themselves and their crews.
There is a very nice campground 2 miles from the start.
There are also several hotels about two miles from the south entrance to Oak Mountain State Park. Here is a Google Maps link to Area Hotels.
