2021 Blood Rock 100 and 50 Mile Trail Race
100 Mile Starts December 3rd at 12 Noon - 40 Hour Cutoff
50 Mile Starts December 4th at 7:00 AM - 18 Hour Cutoff
Oak Mountain State Park

Located in Pelham, Alabama, just south of Birmingham

The 2021 Blood Rock 100 or 50 mile trail race will likely be the hardest 100 or 50 you have ever run. The 100 will have well over 50,000 feet of elevation change, the 50 mile, 25,000 ft. However, the elevation gain is not what makes the race so hard. It is the terrain. Our little mountain at Oak Mountain State Park is only 700 feet tall and about 10 miles long but what it lacks in size it makes up for in brutally steep, technical climbs and descents, treacherous trails and endless miles of rocks and roots. Then again, there are also some very gentle and very runnable trails. But not many!

The 2021 Blood Rock Course Map - The 100 is 3 laps of this 34 mile loop.
(Please note: The North Trailhead is NOT and Aid Station. It is shown on maps and Aid Station charts because it's an ideal location for crew to meet runners. The trailhead on located on Findley Dr. about 2 miles north of the Cabins.)
