Friends of Southeastern Trial Runs

The Wild Trails Race Series is one of the Southeast’s premier points based trail running experiences. We offer races for the most competitive runners as well as beginners and trail walkers/joggers. The Chattanooga, TN trail running area provides breathtaking views, single and double track courses, and incredibly rewarding racing environments. The Chattanooga Stage Race is a part of the Wild Trails Race Series.
The mission statement for Wild Trails: Encourage and promote healthy and active lifestyle through trail running and other forms of outdoor recreation and advocate to protect/preserve land (natural spaces) used for such activity.

Tashka Trail 50K, 25K and 4 Mile Race Trail Race - January of each year near Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The race is run in Lake Lurleen State a few miles west of Tuscaloosa.  The trails are well maintained, very runnable and very fast.  Alison and Walt White put on a Great Event.
The Birmingham Ultra Trail Society - The mission of BUTS is to promote, support and grow the local trail community through service, events and races while creating fun, safe and happy trails.

A note from Southeastern Trial Runs: Without BUTS we could not put on the races we do. BUTS steps up to help with every single race. BUTS members put in hours and hours, working at aid stations, sweeping the course and encouraging every runner. Many stay to the "bitter end" to help tear down and load up long after every runner is gone. Thank you guys so much for all you do.  By the way, if you are a local runner and not a member of BUTS, please join.
The Birmingham Stage race is joining the Grand Viduta Stage  Race and Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race to for a new Stage Race Series here in the Southeast.

The first race is the series is The Grand Viduta taking place on April 29th - May 1st in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a very difficult but fun three day event in Huntsville, Alabama. All three stages are on different sections of Monte Sano. I highly recommend the Grand Viduta.
