Join us on Saturday, October 18 for three trail races at Oak Mountain State Park.  All races will start at 8:00 a.m. at the Redbud Pavilion. This is the pavilion near the BMX track.  This race is Free to all BTC members and you must be a member to enter. There will be three race distances.  The first race will be a 5 miles with gentle hills and no technical terrain except, perhaps, the 100 ft. section of trail going up the dam on the Yellow Trail.  The second race will be about 10 miles long and climb to the top of Double Oak Mountain before returning to the Finish.  The third option will be announced later and will be a challenger for everyone. It will be a unique format and not necessarily a set distance.

All registered runners will receive technical race shirts.  Following the race there will be a cookout with burgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs and all the "fixin's."  We will also have the usual post ultra trail race refreshments on Ice, so plan on hanging around a while.  This race is technically not part of the Southeastern Trail Series but participants will earn points that will be applied to the series.  There will be awards for the top three male and female runners in each race.

The Short Race:  The course will be determined and posted later.

The Middle Distance Race:  The course will be determined and posted later.

The Long Race: I have to decide just how much torture I want to inflict!  Details to come.
